I see... I want to invest in a macro setup soon as well.

:) just do it. All 100mm (aboutish) macro lenses of all brands are exceptional sharp. I do use a flash with a diffuser for almost all my shots. Some are just natural light.

There are only 3 species i dislike: deerflies (but they do have the most beautiful eyes), ticks and mosquitos (but only the stinging ones).
